Clark Transmission Project
Due to several hazardous occurrences this winter, Yampa Valley Electric Association (YVEA) will be clearing the transmission line Right of Way from US Highway 40 in Steamboat Springs to our Clark Substation, in Clark, for public safety and wildfire mitigation.
The overgrowth of vegetation and weak/dead trees has created a hazardous situation along the transmission line that YVEA considers an emergency to correct as soon as possible.
This project is estimated to begin July 15, weather permitting, and will continue throughout the summer. Construction schedule and activities will be updated here as the project progresses.
